I am a registered psychologist (Clinical Registrar) based at The Brisbane Clinic on Wickham Terrace, near the Brisbane CBD, supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I approach every person as an individual — with their own history, strengths, emotional patterns, and unique way of navigating the world. There is no “one-size-fits-all” model in therapy. Instead, I tailor my approach to each client’s needs, circumstances, and goals, recognising that psychological difficulties rarely arise in isolation; they are often shaped by the systems we were raised in and the environments we continue to live within today.
My practice is grounded in psychodynamic therapy and attachment-informed principles, exploring how early relationships, developmental experiences, and relational patterns influence current emotions, behaviours, and challenges. I also integrate family systems thinking, contemporary trauma frameworks, and evidence-based psychological strategies. This allows us to work not only on relieving symptoms, but also on developing deeper emotional insight — understanding why certain patterns persist and what is needed to move toward meaningful, lasting change.
Before training as a psychologist, I spent many years working in broadcasting, writing, and in crisis and disaster support roles. These experiences taught me how to listen deeply, hold stories with care, and appreciate the complexity and resilience that define people’s lives. They also shaped my belief in the courage it takes to seek help and the importance of offering a therapeutic space where people feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood.
I hold a Master of Psychology (Clinical) from Swinburne University of Technology and a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) from the University of Queensland. I am a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), an Associate Member of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists, and a Disaster Response Network Psychologist (APS). I continue to undertake advanced training in psychodynamic therapy, trauma, neurodevelopment, and lifespan mental health. My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma and attachment, ADHD assessments, cognitive and educational assessments, and the emotional impact of major life transitions. I especially enjoy helping parents and their children work better together, building confidence, strengthening family communication, and finding practical strategies to support behavioural and neurodevelopmental needs.
Across all stages of life, my work is centred on warmth, integrity, and collaboration. I see therapy as a shared process — one that helps people understand themselves more deeply, shift long-standing patterns, and reconnect with a grounded, authentic sense of self.
